Will Arnett Has Jason Bateman’s Back

30 Jun

Leave it to Will Arnett, Jason Bateman’s co-star from Arrested Development and husband of Amy Pohler, to say what everyone else was thinking regarding the whole Bateman-cutting-in-line-for-the-iphone thing.

If you remember, Jason Bateman was waiting outside an Apple Store with around 2000 people, when an employee walked over and escorted him into the store. This seemed to piss a lot of people off, and caused blogs everywhere to go crazy.

Well, using the power of Twitter, Arnett tweeted “@batemanjason show me someone who wouldn’t have done the same and I’ll show u a liar’s liar.Ur a class act, anyone who knows you knows that.”

I don’t doubt that for a second. Anyone who was in that line probably would have jumped for joy if an employee came and moved them ahead. That doesn’t make it right, but it is true.

According to TVGuide, Bateman also went to the Twitter universe, apologizing and stating that he only jumped in line to avoid the paparazzi. He also claimed that he didn’t hear any booing or hissing.

That explanation is understandable. Unfortunately, they still got a story out of it. What we do have to remember is that it was the employees were the ones who went to him, not the other way around. But like Will Arnett said, anyone would have done it. End of story.

What do you think? Do you agree with Arnett?
