Robert Shapiro, the celebrity lawyer who was part of O.J. Simpson’s “Dream Team” during his murder trial, has agreed to represent Lindsay Lohan, the Associated Press reports. However, she must comply with the terms of her probation. He also stated he would help Lohan receive treatment.
“Ms. Lohan is suffering from a disease that I am all too familiar with,” said Shapiro. “Hopefully I can be of assistance.” Shapiro’s son died of a drug overdose in 2005.
Lohan is scheduled to begin her sentence on Tuesday.
