Look’s like Ryan Murphy and company scored more than the 2011 Best Television Comedy award at this years Golden Globe’s. People reports that the “Glee” creator also snagged nominee Anne Hathaway in a future guest role. The role will be of Kurt’s lesbian aunt, which the actress actually created for herself. According to Hollywoodnews.com, the idea originated on a visit to Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, in which Hathaway expressed interest in playing Kurt’s aunt. Murphy liked the idea, and the two worked out a deal Sunday.
“She’s already created [her role],” Murphy said to People. “She wants to play the lesbian aunt of Chris Colfer. Because everyone needs a lesbian aunt.”
Past guest stars have included Neil Patrick Harris, Kristen Chenowith, and Gwenyth Paltrow, who all got a chance to sing a couple of showstoppers. Hathaway is not a stranger to singing, having showcased her pipes on “Saturday NIght Live” and in such movies as “Ella Enchanted.”
