Now fans of the hit reality competition “Dancing with the Stars” know that sometimes the definition of “star” can get stretched quite a bit. Case in point: when this season’s cast was announced, many people heads started to scratch when the name Mike Cattherwood made the airwaves, with mine included. Well, here’s a little bit of a background on Lacey Schwimmer’s current partner, that way when the show premieres tomorrow you can show off to anyone who is still in the dark.
According to his wikipedia page (granted some people might argue with this source, but you have to start somewhere,) Catherwood (aka Psycho Mike) is a radio personality who currently on “Loveline” with Dr. Drew Pinsky. Catherwood uses his past experience to educate callers on substance abuse. He is also an assistant producer to the Kevin and Bean show, where he occasionally does man on the street segments.
Apparently, Catherwood is also skilled at doing vocal impressions, which include Red Hot Chilly Pepper’s Anthony Kiedes, Kiss’ Gene Simmons, and even Spencer Pratt from “The Hills.” He has guest hosted on Live with Regis and Kelly, where some hope for him to fill in once Regis leaves permanently.
Catherwood is also an amateur body builder who has educated listeners on exercise and nutrition. Based on the video below, it seems that he is pretty good at it.
There you have it. Now you can impress your friends with your new found knowledge.
